I have two DS-2CD2142FWD-IS UK version with V5.4.1 build 160525. They are working properly.

I tried to upgrade to:
a) The nearest version (5.4.3) : ... C%205MP%29
b) The latest version (5.4.5): ... %2C1X41%29

In both cases: I get the message "upgrade failed". I tried both the Safari plugin on OSX as well as the IVM-4200 software.

Am I doing something wrong? Many thanks for your reply.
I could still use some help with this....

I have a Hikvision NVR DS-7308NI-SE/P with firmware V2.3.7 build 131112.
I now updated it to V3.0.15 build 151230.
I thought that this was the latest version, and that I would have the line crossing and intrution detection. This is not the case.
Is there a newer version? And where can I download it?
Do I also have to update the cameras?
Is the line crossing in the firmware of the NVR, or is it in the firmware of the camera?
I use the DS-2CD2432F-IW-4 cubecamera.

All help is much appriciated. ;)

It is of course a NVR DS-7608NI-SE/P instead of a DS-7308NI-SE/P.

Virtual host is in the web interface under network > advanced.

If it fails double check the firmware/try a previous version between the latest and your current firmware.

I recently updated the firmware on my DS-7732NI-I4/16P NVR from V3.3.9 Build 160612 to V3.4.92 and it all appeared well it rebooted and presented a "Password" screen where it asked for my old password and then to enter a new password and verify the new password.
I entered my old password and it wouldn't accept it. I tried the old "12345" that didn't work.
From what I have since found it appears you need a special software tool that uses the devices serial number to reset the password.
Can anyone HELP PLEASE??? :?: .
