Network viewing help :(

Postby StuartC1986 » Sat Nov 26, 2016 7:17 pm

Hi all
I have got a HikVison DS-7200 Turbo HD and I have been trying not for a few hours to get this working over network viewing can someone help!

I have got the app and registered etc but when I go to connecting to my unit it won't let me and fails to register to the server.

I have been looking at the settings on the unit and when I go into Platform access it's the following (pic below) all the videos I have seen all show online where as mine doesn't

Can someone send me over the screen shots of what the settings should be please :(

Comes up with two different things
Offline (Parsing server domain failed)
Offline (0x13)

The place I bought it from said it was a UK device but I'm now concerned now maybe it's not, I have looked online for serial numbers etc and mines a ....WR... etc should it not be ....EU....?

Are you trying to setup Hik-Online/HiDDNS to use with iVMS?

Ensure you have the ports open and platform access is disabled. Also make sure primary and secondary DNS in network settings have something in them. You should at least have your router's IP (gateway such as 192.168.1.1) and you could use google 8.8.8.8 as the secondary one.

It's usually either a dodgy HDD or a network issue. Before you try unplugging the drive try disabling UPNP as this can casuse this apparently with some routers or simply unplug the network cable for a bit. Trial and error.

Dear Adam ;
Thank you ,
Hope unchecking UPnP wont affect the recording ?

No not at all - it is a universal type of network feature which tries to setup port forwarding automatically and often doesn't work correctly.

Dear Adam ;

I've unchecked UPnP , changed the network cable , yet the NVR still restarts.

The NVR is also attached to a NAS for storage.

How is the NAS box attached? Are you not using the one cable to connect back to your router?

Try completely disconnecting the NAS box/router to see if it still does it while standing alone...
