Hello everyone,

I’m attempting to unbind my recorder from an existing Hik-Connect account, but I continuously receive Error Code: 102060. What does this error indicate?
Thanks.

Hello BarnabyMiles,

If you receive Error Code 102060 while attempting to unbind a device using the Hik-Connect or the SADP Tool, this typically indicates that the device is a legacy model.

Legacy devices are not compatible with the newer self-service unbinding function. As a result, the unbind process cannot be completed directly through the app or SADP.

What this means:

  • The recorder is still bound to a Hik-Connect account.
  • Self-service unbinding is not supported for that firmware/device generation.
  • The device must be removed manually from the original Hik-Connect account.

Required Action:

You will need to:
  1. Gain access to the Hik-Connect account the device is currently bound to.
  2. Log in and manually delete the device from that account.
Only after the device has been removed from the original account will you be able to bind it to a new one.

If access to the original account is no longer possible, you may need to contact official Hikvision technical support for further guidance.

Please let us know if you need assistance identifying whether your device is considered legacy.
