Access control stops responding after adding devices to HikCentral

Hi all,

We have a small office site with Hikvision access controllers managing two entry doors. Initially, the system was configured and managed in iVMS-4200, and all doors were opening and closing correctly.

After adding the same access control devices to HikCentral for centralized management, the doors started behaving unpredictably. For example, card swipes are delayed or ignored, and door status does not update correctly. This issue only occurs after iVMS-4200 is opened again on a PC that was previously used to manage the controllers. Why does this happen, and how should the system be managed correctly?

Dear cablewise,

Once access control devices are added to HikCentral, they must no longer be managed simultaneously by iVMS-4200. Running both platforms against the same access control devices can lead to configuration and control conflicts, which may result in doors not responding correctly or status information becoming inconsistent.

After adding access control devices into HikCentral, ensure that HikCentral is the only management platform used for those devices. iVMS-4200 should not be used for further configuration or operation of access control to avoid these conflicts.
