ONVIF Camera Showing “No Resource”

Hi colleagues,


I’m integrating a third-party ONVIF camera into a Hikvision NVR. The device adds successfully, but the status shows “No Resource.”


ONVIF is enabled on the camera, and credentials are correct.


What should I verify next — stream settings, protocol version, or encoding format?

Some ONVIF cameras doesn't support substream when added to Hikvision recorders, so when you have multiple cameras on live view it will reach the decoding capability of the recorder and the "No Resouce" message will appear.
Unfortunately that's a limitation on the ONVIF profile your cameras support.
You can either lower down the resolution, bit rate and framerate of the cameras.
Disable live view on some channels or disable live view altogether and use your phone app to view the cameras.
Finally you can use a decoder do display your cameras instead of using the NVR HDMI output for live view.
