What DNS Should I Use to Get Hik-Connect Online?

Hello,

My device is showing offline in Hik-Connect, and I’ve been advised to check the DNS settings.

Which DNS servers should I use to get Hik-Connect online?

Hi Thomas,

If your device is offline in Hik-Connect, incorrect DNS settings can often be the cause.

Please configure the following DNS servers in the device’s network settings:

1. Recommended (Google DNS)​

• 8.8.8.8
• 8.8.4.4

1. If Using Comcast (Xfinity)​

• 75.75.75.75
• 75.75.76.76

After applying the changes, click Save and reboot the device. Then check the Platform Access status again to confirm it shows Online
