What options do I have for remote access, other than Hik-Connect?

Dear member, If you do not want to use Hik-Connect, you can remotely access the devices via port forwarding and using the external IP address, or using a DDNS service.

1. Port Forwarding (External IP Access):
You can configure port forwarding on your router to allow remote access using your network’s public (external) IP address. Once configured, you can connect to the device via web browser, iVMS-4200, or compatible client software using the external IP and forwarded service ports.
2. DDNS (Dynamic DNS) Service:
If your ISP provides a dynamic public IP address, you may use a DDNS service (for example, No-IP) to associate your changing IP address with a consistent domain name. This domain can then be used for remote access instead of the raw IP address.
Please ensure that all required ports are correctly forwarded and that strong passwords are used to maintain system security when enabling direct remote access.
