Where Do You Change the Save Path for Downloaded Files in the Web Interface?

Hello everyone,

I need to change the default location where downloaded video clips and images are saved when using the web interface of a Hikvision device.

Could someone advise where this setting is located?

I have Acusense NVR model DS7716NXI-i4

You can change the download save path directly within the device’s web interface by following the steps below:

1. Step-by-Step Procedure​

2. Log into the device’s web interface
   • Connect a PC to the same local network as the device.
   • Open a web browser and enter the device’s IP address.
   • Log in using your username and password.
3. Navigate to the Local Configuration settings
   • Go to:
     Configuration → Local
   • Locate the option labeled “Save downloaded files”
4. Change the file path
   • Modify the directory path to your preferred save location.
   • Click Save at the bottom of the page to apply the changes.

1. Important Notes​

• If you do not see the “Local” option:
  • Download and install the web plugin (usually prompted automatically or available in the top-right corner of the page).
  • After installation, refresh the browser page.
  • The Local menu should then become visible.

The save path setting is stored locally on the PC you are using, so if you access the device from a different computer, you will need to configure the save path again on that machine.
