Will shared users on the Hik-Connect app have access to newly added cameras?

Great Forum.
If I add new cameras to my recorder, will users that I previously shared the device with automatically have access to those new cameras in the Hik-Connect app? Thanks

No, shared users will not automatically gain access to newly added cameras.

In the Hik-Connect app, when new cameras are added to a recorder, only the primary account (the account that originally added the recorder) will have access by default. You must manually update the sharing permissions to grant access to the additional cameras.

1. To update sharing permissions:​

2. Open the Hik-Connect app and go to the My Device page.
3. Tap More (bottom right corner).
4. Select Manage Sharing Settings.
5. Under the My Device section, tap on the shared user’s account.
6. Tap the camera icon on the right-hand side (next to the “All Permissions” option).
7. Tap the arrow next to the recorder to expand the camera list.
   • Select individual cameras, or
   • Tick the box next to the recorder name to grant access to all cameras.
8. Tap the floppy disk icon (top right corner) to save the changes.

Once saved, the shared user will be able to view the newly selected cameras.
